Blueboys idea of a kennel.
Of course our Chihuahua pack let my husband and I live with them in their house!

The Chihuahua Kitchen!
That's right they have their own mini-fridge, microwave and coffee station. O.K., the coffee maker is really for me and late night deliveries, which in years gone by I used to have to wake my husband and ask him to go down and make me coffee so I could stay right with my girls when they needed me most. We keep this station in the nursery and use the fridge for storing vaccines, puppy formula and other necessities. I use the microwave for warming puppy mush!

The Chihuahuas Medicine Chest!
We keep all the wormers, Albon, antibiotics, Oxytocin, dental, supplements, emergency care, bee sting kits, Benadryl, Pepto, Kaopectate, baby asprin, etc. on hand. I check my expiration dates twice a year as most of the supplies don't get used - but it's always good to know it's available when you need it!

Fire Safety!
I don't work outside the home and our dogs rarely have to be kenneled. My husband and I always try to make sure at least one of us is home with the gang. For the times we need to leave them alone for a few hours we kennel them in pairs of two. Our home is alarmed to the fire and police stations. The fire department has told us in case of fire there is a very good chance they could get them all out alive because they're all together in crates which makes it easy to locate and carry them out.

The Blueboys Candy Store!
This is our candy store. The Chihuahuas have a plentiful supply of their favorite chews and treats, I spare no expense when it comes to keeping these guys interested in chewing. Every night at 6:00 they have their treat of choice to chew until bed time which is the doggie way of brushing before bed. Some of their favorites are Cheese Booda Velvets, Peanut Flavor Edible Nylabones, Love Bones, and Greenies.

Blueboys Operation Central!
My laptop is in the Puppy Room on a table with casters so I can roll it anywhere. I can sit on the couch with Chihuahuas in tote and keep a close eye on my puppies while I answer my e-mail and chat on my Chihuahua related message boards!

The Puppy Room!
We just did a little remodeling. This is actually a faux finish but the two colors used were very close in shade...one was pound cake and the other was lemon flash ..up close you can see the faux, it makes the walls look textured.

The New Art Glass Light!
I changed the lighting in the puppyroom from the track lighting to this ...I love art glass and this piece against the yellow walls looks really nice!

The Other End Of The Puppy Room!
The trim was done with electric white...this room was yellow before we painted it again. I wanted it bright and happy for the puppies!

Puppy Play Pens!
We raise our puppies in play pen's until they begin to toddle. They begin potty training in the nursery which is 18x 36 feet, plenty of room for them to romp!

The Living Room!
This is taken from my livingroom couch....the wall on the left is the only wall in the living room this color, the rest is what you see in the middle. The wall to the right leads up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

Couch Potatoes!
Now you see why we have a three sided sectional....Pretty sad when you're on the floor watching TV and the dogs are all snuggled on the couch...Yes we fixed that now, we all have room for our nightly slumber parties!

Blueboys Breakfast Bar!
I've got it set up so I can sit at the Breakfast bar, drink my coffee, talk on the phone and still see the Chihuahuas right in the back yard through the slider ...this saves my neighbors the horror of seeing me in my night clothes with my hair in a mess!

The Chihuahua's Backyard & Patio!
I took this photo from my park bench at the top of the hill. I wanted to get some of the dog's just hanging around but every time I went up to take pictures they would all follow me. After five trips down I gave up and took it anyway!

Blueboy's Kennel!
Our Chihuahuas live in our home with us, but when we go outside they get to enjoy a nice back yard that's fully fenced. I use this kennel for their safety. We never leave them unattented. If I need to go in the house for a bit they're trained to kennel-up. All I have to do is step inside the kennel and yell "CHIHUAHUA", and they all come. We have this down to 12 seconds!

Blueboy's New Puppy Kit!
All our puppies go home with a puppy kit containing Innova puppy food, several toy's, lots of proper chew's, Blueboys buisness card to keep by the phone, Blueboys pens, Puppy ID bracelet, a folder with breed history, training info, puppy proof your home, sales contract, health records, your 5 year guarantee, AKC application

Family Day At Blueboys!
When my puppies are 7 weeks old we have family days every weekend until they're ready at 12+ weeks to go home with their new families...This gives the families a chance to meet each other and spend time with their puppies. I decorate the house with Balloons and Bows so they don't miss my house...course my neighbors think I'm a nut but... oh well!

So you want a teacup huh?
A teacup, as some call it, means a dog under the standard weight for the breed. In Chihuahuas that means under two pounds. These little ones are riddled with health problems and rarely live longer than a couple of years. This is NOT something a good breeder breeds for, or would sell for a great amount of money. They should remain in the hands of the breeder responsible for the future heartbreak. If you see breeders talking the teacup talk, know they're not just after your money but also your heart.
